Cheap boots that don't last long

We bought these boots for my son during the off season as he has outgrown his boots quickly. I went for something cheaper as we were back in February and I'm pretty sure it will be a size up next winter. But as expected, you get what you pay for. These boots look cute, the rubber soles feel durable and probably repel water, and the nice fluffy inner layer looks like it could be warm. That's the best I can say about her. My biggest problem with these boots is that they cannot be attached to your little one's feet. There are 2 methods of designing these boots - braces and velcro - and neither of them really work. The top strap only pulls 1 inch of fabric between the two grommets. It does NOT cover the entire foot of the boot. The velcro is of very poor quality. So if snow gets on it, it won't stay. Additionally, you won't be able to pull the strap tight enough as there isn't enough Velcro sewn into the strap to make it useful beyond where it's located when you open the packaging. and you drag the strap to a real place where it can do something useful. Now you are behind the velcro and the strap just hangs there. We had to put an elastic around the strap to keep the strap from coming loose and dangling in the wind that's not enough. We used them for 2 days in heavy snow and both days they fell off my son's feet. Finally, the side zippers feel cheap and I'm fairly certain they'll win. won't survive the rest of this season. I would definitely not recommend them and plan to spend more for better quality boots next time.
