I drive a Hyundai Elantra (sedan) and when I first attached it to the rings that are already on the edges of the bottom of my trunk I was a bit concerned was not taught enough (the net is a bit bulged in the middle). But once I actually loaded my grocery bags, I realized that I don't want them to be too tight or else they'll 1: it's difficult to even tuck your stuff underneath, and 2: it can put too much pressure on delicate items. It works great, it's easy to put grocery bags or other items underneath and then those items don't get thrown around my trunk when I'm driving.
