I like this thing now that it's installed. It took several attempts with treats and food to get the cat to squeeze through the door. We also removed the metal tip from the bottom of the swing door to disable the magnet. Once the cat got used to it, we replaced it and the cat can still make its way. It's not a strong magnet, but I felt it discouraged the cat at first, so we removed it. The magnet helps keep the door fully closed. Durable and well made. Doesn't move when properly installed. You can lock and lock it in 4 directions as in the description. If you have the right tools (reciprocating saw, spirit level, small handsaw, file, sharp scissors or box cutter, tape, tape measure, drill with assorted bits, dremel saw, screwdriver with magnetic tip, sharp pencils (preferably HB to 2B, another person) should you have less time for installation."U"Cut it to the exact width or a hair less than your door, no matter what you interpret from the instructions.
