Summary: Like everyone else, we have not been driving our car very much, so before the battery got too low, I wanted to be proactive and trickle charge it weekly.Observations: You grandpa's old car charger was "dumb", in that there was no logic, it simply pumped energy into your battery at maximum voltage and current, which works about half the time. This charger has two 12-volt charging currents, 3.5-amp, and 7-amp. It also works on 6-volts (not all offerings are dual voltage, some are 12-volt only). I tested this on our Mazda 3, but since we drive it weekly, the battery was in good condition, so it topped off the charge in about 45 minutes.Recommendations: Since these have a mode setting, leave it disconnected from the battery, keep the clamps separate, and the turn on the charger, and set it to the correct mode. Then connect it to the battery.Pros: 1) Lithium charger, 2) smart charge intelligence, 3) ring-connector adapter for an easier connection for weekly trickle charging, 4) battery clips are high quality with strong springs.Cons: None. Conclusion: At the current price of $36, this is a 5-star product, and highly recommended. This works as well as the Noco charger, at less cost.Related Products:NOCO Genius G3500 6V/12V 3.5A UltraSafe Smart Battery Chargerhttps://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LWVEKS/
