Completely solved for my 2007 BMW X3 3.0Si. I changed the oil in my X3 last month. And after I replaced the drain plug and tried to screw it back in, it just kept turning and turning and I thought to myself. Oh my god I don't want to spend money on an oil pan, especially an X3 which is harder to replace. After research I found this product and it was good value for money. Arrived quickly. But I needed another tool that was in the cargo docks for $19, it was a crank. Used a bit and it really pierced through the aluminum pan. Used a faucet and he went right and tapped smoothly. I then applied red Loctite to the spool and turned it inside out with the tool. After waiting 10 minutes, I pulled out the end of the coolant and put in a new drain plug. Then I tightened it to 40 pounds and it was a good fit. Enter my new oil. I looked at all sorts of drops and violas. It worked! I drove it for 4 hours on business and just drove home and parked it and waited 30 minutes and I looked at the floor and no more oil stains! Great product!
