Suitable if you have a short pan instead of a deep one. I have a 99 ranger xlt. I normally never put less than 5 on products but I confirmed with them before buying from them and they said it fits my ranger, I should have done a little more research than I did myself. it does fit but there are two Ford Ranger filters, one tube and the other flat, but both will fit. in the end it all comes down to the size of the pan. Well I've already taken everything off so I made a compromise as I was technically stuck and the dealership was a few miles away so I decided to cut off the thingy looking cylinder with a saw and it works like a charm!. Was ready to send it back before I saw my saw and looked at my filter and the bulb came. Will be updated in a few months
