Review on 10-inch Curved Jaw Locking Pliers: Secure Gripping Power for Enhanced Control by Justin Ferguson

"The key to a good job is using the right tool for the job. "

Most of the time I think it's worth spending money on high-quality things - in this case tools - if they have to last a long time or are important for a certain result. But there are certain tools - in this case - that I only need a few times (if that many), in which case I'll break my "buy quality" rule. This was one of those cases. After a 30 minute, semi-difficult plumbing fixture installation, I turned the water back on and found a leak. When I took everything back to step 2 I found that I had twisted a key connector and I could NOT remove it with the tools I had on hand. The local big houseware retailers wanted $5-7 more for an identical tool, so I ordered these pliers from Revain. They appear to be quite well made and definitely helped me get the job done quickly and with a lot more ease (and a lot less swearing) than I had already spent doing with the tools I had on hand." to cope". So I've learned a lesson I've learned several times before (ahem): If you can't get the job done in a few tries with the WRONG tools, just buy the RIGHT tool. It's easy on your joints, lowers your blood pressure and keeps you sane! And if I'm REALLY lucky, they last longer, or I need them more - or both - than I expect.

Pros
  • Curved jaws for maximum grip on a variety of shapes.
Cons
  • Little things
