I have read all the articles about CMR / SMR, although I amcomnnected with thecomputer field, but I can’t keep up with all the trends and the novelty. I always took WD (12-14 years old), but then the price and the availability of SMR technology in cheap drives pushed me away. In the case of Seagate, where on their page HDD options are described where this or that technology is used, I decided to buy this CD. In principle, there are nocomplaints about him. I use it as a second drive in mycomputer to store and process a large amount of images, audio and video. Write and read speeds are the same as WD drives (Blue, Purple and Green). I did not notice a drop in speed at 80% of the disk full of data. But minus one - the crunch of the heads when handling is very audible. No other disc does this. But still, this is not the most important thing in the disks. I would recommend this disc, unless you work at thecomputer at night, when you need to keep absolute silence. It is important that it lasts as long as possible and does not lose your priceless data.
