was a bit tricky on the first try as it took several tries to get the clone working. It took a few tries with the blue button for it to start. So I tried to clone 500GB hard drive to 1TB SSD 2.5 hard drive and it took about 3 hours. Compare it to cloning a hard drive in half the time with Partition Magic or Macrium Reflect. You still need to use the partition utility to resize the new larger drive if you want to access the unallocated space. The last hard drive I cloned was 1TB to 2TB and it took a very long time. I had an older SATA cloning device that was shorter but you could accidentally clone it wrong so I bought it to test and I also needed to read IDE drives. I suggest if you want this device try clone it to pc not sure if it will be shorter but it works. You might want to take a long lunch break while he clones or take a nap. To update. It's been a little over 4 hours and the device is still trying to finish the last partition from 1TB to 1TB. Still blinking at 100%. Next time I will try to connect the device to my computer and use Macirum Reflect.
