They were placed in my RV fridge. I have one for my freezer and one for each shelf. That way I know where it cools better and can move things. Each thermometer is individually wrapped and comes with a battery. You can turn them on/off and switch between C/F. I checked every thermometer and they were all between 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit, which to be honest is very close. Well within my tolerances. all have hooks to hang them on a shelf. You can fold or remove the hook if you want to fix them more tightly. So far I like them very much.
