First the design of the tool impressed me, then the weight. I am a very powerful instrument. Use it diligently, you don't want to break the lens glass. My 72mm UV filter glass fell out of the round frame and allowed the glass to float freely on the lens glass. The thin filter frame was too thin to remove. I broke the loose glass to remove it and tried to remove the filter like armor, causing damage but not removing it. I gave up and left my original lens glass unprotected and prone to damage etc. I prefer to back up all my good lenses with filters. Much later I came across this tool while researching lens disassembly after repairing old vintage lenses and decided to give it a try. Wow that was amazing and the filter frame unscrewed with a tool and kept it's original frame perimeter. I did it in under 10 minutes. When viewing the images, note the scratches on the instrument from the jagged edges of the damaged filter frame.
