I just read the instructions and plugged it into the cigarette lighter/socket and it worked. Of course, you have to tune the FM radio to the frequency you want, but then it works fine. We have an old car with a broken CD player and no good radio stations and this has been the best way to get music in the car ever since. We simply connect to a Bluetooth device (the transmitter helpfully tells us in a British accent when the device is paired, then paired) and then start a playlist on our phone. With a simple twist or press of the multifunction button we can pause, skip to the next track or rewind or go back to the previous track. We can also take hands-free calls with the same stylus. A call is announced with a clear voice announcing the phone number and pressing the button to answer or hang up. Phone calls can be heard clearly, and the tiny microphone picks up your voice clearly for the person you're speaking to. Excellent goods!
