Cloning is not perfect. I'll start with that. I tried 3 times to clone all windows drives but failed once. It either tries to boot and freezes or does nothing at all. It's probably fine for simple file transfers, but I wouldn't trust it for anything else. The rest of the build quality is excellent. It accommodates 2.5" and 3.5" drives very well. I am currently using it in conjunction with OpenMediaVault as a home server on a Dell Optiplex 390 Small Form Factor with a USB 3.0 expansion card. USB 3.0 speeds are great and I saturate my gigabit easily. Ethernet connection when transferring movies and test files (I saw 114MB/s the whole time). it's getting dangerous, but I've never seen it around, and I store my drives in still air at normal room temperature. Overall, I didn't buy this for the cloning feature but for data storage. And for that purpose it works well. I'll probably buy another one in the future to expand my storage options.
