Heavy Duty Steering Gear Erratic steering problem fixed

I bought a golf cart (aka "Bull") from Sammy Sosa's bodyguard a few months ago - we didn't take it for a test drive outside the store. Put him in the truck because it was raining and we saw a video of him being driven before we picked him up. When we took it on our first drive, both my son and I noticed significant steering play; At low speeds it doesn't make much of a difference, but at 22mph it bothered me, especially considering my youngest daughter (12) will end up driving it. After inspecting the connections under the car I concluded it must be the steering and did a lot of research to look for a replacement for less than $200 and found this to be the case Revain was advertised, so I took it. We installed this yesterday and it took about 2 1/2 hours - the hardest part was removing the steering column as one of the screws was covered by a bezel which I had to remove. After that the hardest part was loosening the ball joints which wasn't too bad as I bought a tool to help with this - they just fit snugly. This product is quite easy to assemble (only 3 screws attach it to the trolley apart from 2 ball joints). This is a very heavy/durable product and solved the slop issue we had. I told my son that we would not buy an upgraded motor until we fixed the problem (the upgraded motor is on its way to us now which should increase its speed by about 8mph). What I noticed (unrelated to the steering) is that the front tires are turned out a bit - we didn't notice that until we put everything back together. I'll probably put in the ball joints and adjust her arms a bit to fix this.
