I got these mugs for my grandparents for Christmas and I think I haven't seen my grandfather's face look so bright in a very long time since he was diagnosed with leukemia. I don't see her often as we live on different sides of the US. My grandpa uses this mug almost exclusively as he drinks coffee every morning and throughout the day and my grandma drinks the mug once in the morning and none of them have ever seen anyone wear letters with it although my grandma can't wash it in the dishwasher, at least that's what she told me. It might seem like a mundane, simple, and overly generic gift, but it meant a lot to them.
