I got this for a trip abroad to sort things out needed to carry for each day of sightseeing, including a small 11.5 inch laptop. The published dimensions were 12 inches, which should be sufficient for a laptop. When I received it I found that the laptop does not come in, had to move a little to insert it. The problem is that although the bag is 12 inches as advertised, the zipper does not allow for a secure fit of things nor for finding and retrieving them. I measured the top opening of the zipper and found it to be only 10.5 inches. Realistically it won't work. Get another tapered bag with a much larger zip opening. This makes it easier to open and find things, and it also makes it easier to carry around a small laptop. When I sent it back I liked the security features and other aspects such as B. A little light but no small zipper opening.
