While cleaning our Seed Glass chandelier, we managed to break one of the glass balls. The unique glass was impossible to replicate, so we bought new seeded glass spheres to replace. The updated device just didn't work for us. I have been interested in the deer antler chandelier for many years but never wanted to bother with replacing our current light fixture. Our home is a very warm and cozy log cabin. The need to replace our seeded glass piece gave us the option of using an antler jig. There is a wide selection online at different prices. We chose this rustic piece of horn after comparing reviews and prices. The chandelier arrived earlier than expected and I was limited in time. Surprisingly, the moments I had here and there (for resolving the new mount) allowed me to assemble and install the mount within the prescribed time frame. It is relatively easy to assemble and very durable. We needed the brightness of six sockets since our walls and ceiling are made of tree trunks and are not very reflective. Having experimented with a few different candelabra (base) bulbs, I would recommend soft white LEDs. We chose 60W LED bulbs as they don't get hot, dim well, create a warm/natural atmosphere and provide great lighting when we're eating, playing cards or solving puzzles. This is a beautiful chandelier.
