This is the second Chromebook I've bought and both were intended for older retired women to email and surf the web. Both women seem to like Chromebooks and find them easy to use. So far we've found the battery life to be pretty good. Also, I wanted to point out a few things that people seem to be doing wrong in the Q&A section and in the review section. THIS IS A NEW CHROMEBOOK, it has not been refurbished. THIS IS A TOUCHSCREEN CHROMEBOOK, yes I tested it and the touchscreen works every time I tried it. The only downsides I would point out is that the screen is a bit dim, has limited viewing angles, has to be right in front of it, to one side a bit, and it will be difficult to use or see. The only thing worth mentioning is that if you want to connect it to a monitor or TV, you'll need a USB-C adapter like a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable, it doesn't have a video output . like HDMI.
