Review on Audio Technica AT VM95C Moving Turntable Cartridge by Ron Patel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yes. So good.

Finally! A simple cassette that makes it easy to enjoy your music. Face to face. This is not an ideal world. But we go into the workforce every day and try to make the best of it. And with that comes the daily stress of our lives. So the last thing we want to do is go home, turn on our favorite records, and sit there analyzing every intricate detail or flaw in an imperfect medium. It's vinyl. We just want to enjoy music. And this cartridge lets you do just that. I have bought many cartridges in my life and spent way more than this cartridge is worth. And what did I get? Pickups that I had to constantly adjust to get the right sound. You know what? I make enough changes in the world to make everything as perfect as possible every day. But that's not what I want to do when I come home to relax and enjoy my recordings. My memories. So I chose this one based on the reviews and because it was new. And I thought maybe, just maybe. So I anxiously installed it on my Thorens TD 170 car turntable and gave it a good solid base setup. Press the start button and BAM! I'm back in the 80's! RICH SOUND. no hiss, no heaviness.just.music.here it is.music! And I like the fact that there is a conical tip. Because it doesn't catch and pop every fancy tick, it finds the muaik we all need. And a lot of my records have been played heavily over the years and this cassette forgives that. He seems to 'know' what's important, remember 'when'. And I'm employed. And that's not a worker's budget. It is well suited for modern automatic players. I have medium arms as this medium compliance cartridge plays very well with many modern guns. So yes, it looks good! But most importantly, what he does, he does right. He hits the mark and he has to do it. So if there's a $34 miracle in stock this year, there's a spot! Thanks Audiotech.
