The color comes off after washing.
When I first received the cutting board it was beautiful and looked well made. I didn't use it until I fully lubricated it according to the instructions. When I started using it I noticed dark gray water in the drain of my white dishes. It was the pigment from the cutting board. The board has faded after only a few weeks of use and is no longer as pretty. It's still worth keeping.
