Cheap $3 fix for a big problem. I believe our '93 Corolla has been running engine oil through this broken seal for several years. I think this caused the "Neutral/Safe" switch to turn off and the "Standby" light to stop working. The replacement took about 30 minutes and we no longer see any oil leaks in the driveway!
