For years I have used the Farberware pot/steamer/steamer to rinse small amounts of food or other items rather than disassembling them. stick my large colander out of the bowls where it is kept by the kitchen cupboard. Although you do need a colander, it takes up a lot of kitchen cabinet space, forcing me to place it next to my mixing bowls. When I saw these collapsible colanders and colanders, I decided to give them a try. I particularly like that there is a round and a rectangular one. I've already used one of these to rinse a small batch of taco salad. They can be hung on a hook in a cupboard or pantry, or placed on the side between pots and pans as they don't take up much space. I only keep mine on large pots that aren't used daily so they're easily accessible. The silicone used is flexible and should be strong enough. I also love the blue color - it refreshes the kitchen. I would recommend this to those of you who want a colander/colander but either don't have the space or don't want to use the space to store it. Update - 6/9/21 - I can't believe how much I use these two colanders/strainers. I often use the rectangular one for draining pasta because a lot of pans are wide and it works great. I've used the round a couple of times to rinse veggies. I use them way more than I imagined and they work great.
