I had to cut a long rectangular hole in 7/16" porcelain without piercing the back of the tile. Long cuts were easily possible with a DeWalt circular saw in wet conditions (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003BVW5NU) but there were issues with short ends and corners. The logical choice was a diamond blade in an oscillating multi-tool (OMT), but I couldn't find one that could cut this material. Those blades in the Dremel tool worked great - cut quickly and smoothly. I had to be careful because they cut almost too easily and the small diameter was awkward - a very long shank would help. I wish they made blades for OMT.
