I had to cut a rectangle in my bathroom wall tile to install a new outlet. I thought I might need all the spare discs to cut all the way through the tile. I was very pleasantly surprised that I was able to cut the perimeter of the entire single block starting box through tile and into cement board for tile using just one of the 10 included discs. The only small issue was that the shaft was a bit smaller. than to clamp firmly into the chuck of my Dremel tool.

I really like that it comes with two mandrels so I can switch from hot to cold discs very quickly. I've only started with two so far and I'm really not sure when I need to use a new wheel, but then again I'd say I don't use my rotary tool too often. If you do NOT cut hard metals, this is for you and will likely last forever. Get rid of those cheap tar cutting discs that crack on the look. However, for hard materials, I strongly recommend getting a quality resin-reinforced cut-off wheel.

3 stars for value. You will receive 10 cutting discs. I've used them to cut rocks and they worked great. The wheels don't last too long, but what can you expect when cutting stone. I was ready to give it 5 stars when I started cutting. The wheels cut stone very efficiently. However, both mandrels were taken apart before I could use more than 3 wheels. I had to cut a long rectangular hole in 7/16" porcelain without piercing the back of the tile. Long cuts were easily possible with a DeWalt circular saw in wet conditions (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003BVW5NU) but there were issues with short ends and corners. The logical choice was a diamond blade in an oscillating multi-tool (OMT), but I couldn't find one that could cut this material. I only bought these to cut 1/4" pure tungsten rods so my comments will be limited to that purpose. The product is described as a "diamond cutting wheel" but when If you're thinking of using it like a small circular saw to cut a slot in a tungsten rod, forget it because the diamond bits are only on the surfaces of the wheel and the edge of the wheel, not deep into the wheel base material using the blade like a small circular saw will chip off the diamond bits fairly quickly.
