I do a lot of wire work - jewellery, art etc. I like to use thick aluminum wire like this to 'outline' drawings with a line around animals, figures etc. I like the light one Copper color and for the price you get a decent amount of wire. Since it's copper-plated aluminum, if you cut the wire and look head-on at the end, you can see a little silver. This wire is pretty soft - it suits me, but if you plan on making shapes that you hope will hold up, this wire probably isn't what you're looking for. I love that I can use it to make tight, sharp turns, but I sacrifice durability (accidentally squeezing in the wrong place and ruining my design!). I personally prefer slightly less soft wire; I have other aluminum coated wires of the same gauge that are a little less flexible. I even ended up playing with the piece, bending it a few times and expecting the wire to get a little harder and it didn't seem to happen. .All in all a good decorative wire that I will definitely use up, but will probably not buy again because I prefer a less soft wire.
