Easier to shape

I use these instead of zip ties when I need something more secure for fastening outdoors. Cable ties can be brittle in the cold and break quickly when exposed to the elements. I bought 16 gauge steel wire but found it too stiff and difficult to bend with my bare hands. This aluminum wire is slightly thinner and easier to bend with your fingers. I'm taking off a star because it's not as cheap as steel wire.

Impressed!

As a sculptor who puts a lot of strain on his sculpting wire, I found this wire good as an anchor and sculpting wire. It's flexible enough to bend easily, but strong enough not to bend too easily. , to keep the shape I place it in the right shape without deforming when I work on other areas and I don't break it. The alloy appears to be rust resistant, which is what I want. A friend of mine who works with metals and understands their properties told me he thought it wouldn't rust. It is an alloy

Good bright color; a little softer than expected

I do a lot of wire work - jewellery, art etc. I like to use thick aluminum wire like this to 'outline' drawings with a line around animals, figures etc. I like the light one Copper color and for the price you get a decent amount of wire. Since it's copper-plated aluminum, if you cut the wire and look head-on at the end, you can see a little silver. This wire is pretty soft - it suits me, but if you plan on making shapes that you hope will hold up, this wire probably isn't what you're looking…
