Not suitable for identifying mineral samples
I had no problems with the battery as I saw in other reviews. However, for my needs, this flashlight was useless. Even fluorite did not fluoresce in this light, so even identifying a mineral that should have glowed is useless. Didn't even work in total darkness. Also didn't inflame a few cat stains I knew were there, let alone find unknown ones. Returned if for a refund.
