Both switches failed within minutes

I was planning to use this switch for a small amp I am building. heard a crackling sound and then wouldn't turn on, meaning the power was still on when I flipped the switch off. Installed the second switch and about a minute later the same thing happened. Both replaced with another switch (from another manufacturer) and all was fine for a few days. I see one going bad, but both.
