Review on ๐Ÿšค Seamax EZ Load Boat Launching Wheels: Inflatable & Aluminum Boat Set, 12" Pneumatic Tire, 2 Height Position by James Salem

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'd say buy the product, but beware of a blowout when you get a crappy 25psi tire.

I have decided to write this, my first product review, because I love the product so much that I want to spend time on it. This is a mixed review but I upgraded it to 4 stars because Seamax's customer service was great! They appear to be a devoted little company of real people. This is a good reason to buy their product right here. Great product design, exceptional customer service and great quality except for those tires and tubes! I'd say buy the product, but beware of a blowout when you get a crappy 25psi tire. At the very least, rest assured that Seamax will send you a replacement quickly if needed, as they did for me. Pros: - The spring-loaded release button design is awesome! You can easily put the wheels in the landing position with one hand and you won't even get wet while swimming. It makes a very nice clicking sound that almost makes you want to do it again just to hear the sound. It's much easier to use the anchor pins used in other wheel designs - The wheel mounting material is very high quality aluminum, satin finished, smooth and precise - The whole assembly floats. (Yes, I tested it.) - Height adjustable, which is suitable for different slopes of the beach and more. - Very easy to remove completely from the transom, so don't worry about the outboard motor getting in the way. - I was very impressed with my customer service. an experience. In no time at all you sent a wheel for exchange free of charge. They were also very responsive and grateful for my comments. Cons: When I opened the shipping box, one of the tires was already flat. Not only the tube, but the tire itself was torn! I don't really blame Seamax for that because I'm sure they order tires and tubes from some foreign manufacturer. I only wish Seamax would spend a few more dollars to order higher quality tires and tubes. Or maybe use a hard plastic tire like some other mirror wheel manufacturers. That would make the product perfect! (Also, the spare tire I received was of a much higher quality. It was fully molded and had a sidewall inflation rate of 50psi, while the tire that blew up showed 25psi. Hopefully in the future they will make tires with a Rated at 50psi use wheels.) The tires and tubes are made of such poor quality material that they rendered the product I received inoperable. Worse than a cheap hardware store tire, it looked like the rubber wouldn't even fill the shape of the tire. The tracks were not fully formed and the carcass was so thin that the inner tube had ruptured. The hose wasn't the familiar stretchy (butyl?) rubber, but some sort of super-junk, greasy material that felt like old leather. I ended up buying an internal camera at a hardware store. Even the cheapest hardware store had a much better hose. Seamax only suggests inflating to 15psi to avoid blowing out a tire, but 15psi is not enough. In addition, the tire must inflate to at least the 25 psi mark on the sidewall without bursting. Again, this isn't Seamax's fault for not making the tires. You just have to find the best tires.
