I've been using this kettle every day for about a month. I am very happy with this purchase Pros: - Very easy to use - Heats water quickly - Keeps tea warm for 60 minutes, boil water for 30 minutes. done and beeps when powering off. Some have complained about the beeps, but I really like this feature. I find the beeps helpful and not at all annoying. I researched for several hours before purchasing this teapot. This is one of the few where plastic does not come into contact with water. There is plastic on the outside of the lid, but it doesn't come in contact with water. The inside of the lid is made of metal. The tea I made tastes great. I like the fine mesh teapot. It keeps all the tea leaves inside so there is no need to strain the tea before drinking. I empty the tea infuser as soon as I take it out of the kettle and then rinse off the rest of the tea. Cons: The bottom of the kettle is metal. I have tea stains and mineral deposits on this metal after every use. I remove any tea stains and some mineral deposits with baking soda and a rag after each use. All mineral deposits can be removed with equal parts water and vinegar and left on overnight. I do this once a week. Looks like new again!
