Works as expected. Plug this guy in and get an RS-232 serial port for your computer. However, be careful. Some cheap motherboards don't have a keyed connector around the connector's pins, making it easy to plug it in upside down. Locate the arrow on the black plastic connector (the arrow is shaped and may be difficult to see. It may be next to the red wire on the edge of the ribbon cable) and make sure the arrow is next to the dot or arrow. or a silkscreen cutout on the motherboard (white lines and text). This should point to pin 1. This should only be done if your motherboard doesn't have a matching keyed connector (the cheap motherboard I used mine on didn't have one).
