A super valuable tool when it comes to spot welds In my case I was installing rust repair patches on a Chevelle 72 and needed to remove spot welds on the lower rear quarter panel Caveat: I was too aggressive with the tool the first time I used it.The cutters are SHARP and will gnaw through metal with either side of the weld point. It was so easy I thought this should do the trick but then I realized that the ideal use is to cut from the side you expect to throw away and expect to hold and leave the router r then penetrate the first metal sheet. That way, you have "meat" on the keeper's side. I drilled the first few holes and ended up with 3/8" holes that needed filling. Second: a center punch or small center drill bit, but that's a must. The router bit wanders with no pilot hole. All in all a good buy and makes a solid impression.
