I like that we have been able to find different ways of getting our congregation together, whether it be through an event or by simply just having one person in each location send out invitations (we use Google Hangouts). It also allows us to do more than text messages which can sometimes get lost when texting back and forth with members about events. We've had issues with some people using their phones during worship so not everyone will always see your message but you should try! If someone misses something they'll usually check Facebook later anyways, this isn't really much better since everything gets posted there anyway. Having another way to communicate has made things easier for me as well because if a member needs help at any given time, i'm right next door ready to assist them. This helps alleviate problems that are otherwise difficult in communicating across large distances such as those between cities/states. People who live far away from other congregants are.
