I had a situation where I needed extra force when rounding a stair tread that I had attached to a plywood tread. It was impossible to just glue and screw it on to give it any strength so I used this tool with my 1/4 inch router and cut a groove in the plywood step and then a groove in a nice piece of maple. old spruce 5/16 thick "and glued into the maple, then run it through a table saw to get the exact 3/8 depth", apply glue to the spruce and drive it into a groove in the plywood. The cutting tool works great, it's very sharp and holds an edge well.
