I've had this mailbox for a little over two years. The color is bad so the box always looks dirty and streaky. I wash it once every few months and the color is noticeably peeling off during the cleaning process, it almost looks like some sort of sealant hasn't been applied. Because of the colour, this is an absolutely horrible mailbox. However, it is large and contains all the mail as well as many small packages. It's a nice looking box from a distance but unfortunately I use this item up close every day and I almost hate it since I installed it because of the bad color it just looks tacky. Since it has good functionality I plan on spraying it one day, but since I'm busy this is another thing on an endless to-do list and I'm not entirely sure why I would want to do that. paint a relatively new mailbox, as one would reasonably expect the manufacturer to take care of this last important part of the manufacturing process. Obviously this item needs to be painted with exterior paint, it's a mailbox, presumably almost all of them are used outdoors in the elements. The manufacturer should be ashamed of this product.
