Not good for smooth burning at all temperatures
Good idea but better wood should have been chosen. As a seasoned burnout, I have a Colwood Pro II set and plenty of springs. Despite the best tips, I sanded and prepared the surface before firing. Tracing the pattern using "poor boy 6B" pencils as a substitute for carbon paper and real carbon paper didn't do very well. The pattern transfer from laser printers was also very difficult or impossible with paint thinner or acetone. Pyrographic and artistic works.
