I've always used these scissors, abused them. Typically, with daily use, they will last any good metallurgist about a year. They're worth the price as they're literally the only pair of scissors I'll be using to cut sheet metal. DeWalt, Stanley, Klein, Wiss, I have never seen these brands work with such power, ease, durability and grace as these scissors. If you know how to really cut with these things, you'll know what I mean. You just can't twist, rotate and tilt other brands in the same way. I admit to being a bit disdainful of their new choice of claws, I've noticed that after repeated cutting they can tend to 'spin' sideways. Yes, they are softer than the previous hard pins, but they do slip a bit which can annoy you after a while. Plus, they're great for clipping your nails while you wait for that new guy to figure out what you asked him to do.
