Midwest is the best

As an HVAC guy don't even try other shears. I've tried Lenox and Milwaukee and they just don't compare to Midwest. They last the longest, make the best cuts and are the easiest to use in my opinion. If you don't work with air ducts, other brands might work for you, but this is definitely the best pair of scissors out there.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • unreliable

Nice scissors

I like that they are not huge, feels good in the hand, are sharp and have a springy tension when cutting, what I don't like is that there is a hook to close she can get in the way if it's not down and out of the way. I've been using them to cut sheet metal at work for about a month. I would most likely buy again but I think that's what you're most comfortable with as a colleague uses an assistant and gets the job done.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Doubtful

Best HVAC Periodic Scissors

I previously had a pair of Wiss and Milwaukee's (Milwaukee's rights are BROKEN from cutting some sort of snap-on pipe) A supervisor at my company told me to get them, cuts so much smoother and easier , really saves your hands. Only thing is they rust HARD so take care of them and wd-40 them that night if they get wet but if you've been cutting sheet metal all day they're worth every penny and then some, leave them Use your old scissors as a backup when working on a wet site.

Pros
  • Nice to use

I wish I had bought them a few years ago

I wish I had bought them a few years ago. The offset design is awesome. I only use them at home but they are way better than the classic straight cutters that have been used for years. With straight cutters, I almost always cut or score skin on sharp metal edges. With the angled cutting edge my hands are away from the metal edges and I didn't get a single scratch on the last cut of the channel. They appear to be well designed and made and should last me a lifetime. I love that I can use them…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Fit

Hands off, the best.

I've always used these scissors, abused them. Typically, with daily use, they will last any good metallurgist about a year. They're worth the price as they're literally the only pair of scissors I'll be using to cut sheet metal. DeWalt, Stanley, Klein, Wiss, I have never seen these brands work with such power, ease, durability and grace as these scissors. If you know how to really cut with these things, you'll know what I mean. You just can't twist, rotate and tilt other brands in the same way.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The best scissors money can buy! 10/5 stars Made in the USA!

These are the best scissors you will ever buy. They are beautifully crafted, from the soft, durable handles to the narrow, sharp cutting edge. I've tried Wiss, Malco, Lennox, Milwaukee and pretty much everything worth trying and none of them compare. The cut with the least pressure of all. But perhaps the best thing about these scissors is that they WILL NOT pinch metal no matter how thin you make the cut. I've found this to be an issue with all other brands, which can be particularly annoying…

Pros
  • Pliers and Scissors
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Check your screws! best in Pliers & Scissors

I am giving these scissors 5 stars but only after I have repaired them. I bought a used set to save 10€. The green ones worked fine but the red ones scratched and stuck when closing. So I ordered a new red one to replace them but the new scissors also scratched loudly. I fiddled with some used scissors and found that all 3 screws on the handle were loose. After tightening the screws or locknuts as tight as I could, the scissors worked perfectly, but there were light scratches from heavy use…

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Requires Socket
