If you're new to butyl tapes, you're in for a real treat. Butyl tape is the best way to seal any hole in the back of a car or RV. We used this to cover the window openings we cut in our cargo trailer. All you have to do is attach the caterpillar along the edge of the hole and then watch it snap into place. When you're done, you can use a razor blade to trim off any excess and you'll have a clean look. This tape/putty is as good as anything I've used before, sticks well which makes it easy to apply and is quite pliable. It doesn't dry out like silicone or caulk, so you can keep working on it until it gets dirty.
