I have previously owned/used another Ivanky product - their 3.5mm braided audio cable - and the quality of this adapter really lived up to expectations. The webbing on the cord is very attractive and feels strong and I don't have to worry about over stretching the cord as I move it around. The brushed metal casing on both connectors is very attractive and feels very durable, and the plastic grommet/shield that protects the cable where it connects to the connectors also looks like it will hold up to a lot of abuse and the Protect wires where they make contact. In terms of functionality, I have both a Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt port and an HDMI port on one of my computers, so I was able to test the adapter side-by-side with a direct HDMI connection. Personally, I couldn't tell any difference between the two, be it a loss of picture or sound quality, or a delay between the source and the TV-out. Video playback through the adapter looked and sounded great. If anything changes when using the adapter I'll definitely update my review here, but so far so good!
