Similar to the standard door stops I have recently purchased and installed, both rubber bumpers on this item are too hard and 1) can damage (or strip paint) the finish and 2) When the door hits the bumper or the panel hits the frame, you will hear a "pop". Easy repair, I had small felt pads, I placed one on either side of the hinge stop and now when the door hits the stop it's quiet and there's less chance of damaging the door panel or frame.
