Review on Stainless Stovetop Whistling Ergonomic Induction by Tom Lawson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I really like this kettle but sent it back.

I really like this kettle but sent it back. Pros: I like the handle, it doesn't get hot, it pours easily. Looks great. Seems to be built pretty well. Disadvantages: 1. The pan is designed for 3.5 liters. I measured out 3 liters of water and put it on the stove. As the water boiled, the water from the sink began to splash all over the stove. I don't know if this is a faulty spout cover or if the stated capacity is wrong.2. While the handle feels nice and doesn't get hot, and the spout lifter is a great design, the plastic handle presses against metal and is likely to melt. I've only used it a few times, but I suspect it will eventually happen.3. They say it works on induction. It works, but I did a time test with 2 liters of water. Induction Burner = 9 minutes 20 seconds Glassstop Electric Burner = 10 minutes 40 seconds A good induction pot cuts time considerably more than this one, but this one doesn't. All in all, if you don't use induction and keep your liquid volume under 3 litres, this is a good kettle. Only time will tell if the plastic handle holds up well against metal.

Pros
  • Suitable for different cookers
Cons
  • Not bad
