We bought two sets to put together as a toy shelf and it worked great. off the floor in case our basement playroom gets wet. We used two wire clips to attach the top to the wall and this thing isn't going anywhere. My son loves that he can remove his toys himself and I love that the top is out of reach for toys I'm not using. I don't want him to have complete freedom of action. The wire is also thin enough that it doesn't want to climb the shelves, which is usually a problem. For the top part, after connecting the two blocks, we had three extra pieces left, so I tied them with a zipper in the middle. This is the perfect place to store your shoes. *** April Update *** We've been using it for almost six months now and it's holding up surprisingly well. I was worried it was a toy room shelf but it looks just as good as the day we installed it. My son still loves the easy access and my husband loves the shoe storage.
