This is a great light touch mesh router system. I used to rely on the TP-Link Archer C5400 which is an absolute monster but after 5 years of use it turned out that TP-Link no longer supports it with firmware updates. I bought and tested an Asus Mesh System and several WiFi 6 (AX) routers and still couldn't find a suitable solution. These 2 little routers cover my 2 story house edge to edge and I can get full throughput (700/200) in the right places. They start and work only with the help of a smartphone. With the latest firmware (1.5.1) I can disable UPNP and use some other security and performance features that were previously unavailable. I'm also happy to see that TP-Link seems to be updating the firmware for them more regularly. My 2 routers currently support about 20 devices including a printer, 3 Rokus, 2 "WFH" setups and phones. I haven't encountered any performance issues or a "reboot" yet, which has been amazing. While this setup doesn't support advanced features like VPN or low-end WiFi configurations, for what it is and the price, it seems like a solid setup for most homes. If you have a gigabit+fiber connection or need a specific home network setup then you should definitely look elsewhere, this system focuses on simplicity and ease of use.
