I didn't expect much for the cape's low price, but got less. It was well packaged and looked great in the box when opened. The layout of the buttons and their functions were good. The rubber where your face meets the cape is too stiff, small and flimsy. Because of this, the screen inside illuminates parts of your face and the sides of your head when in use. I could ignore these issues, but the device I received did not focus at any distance. The focus knob worked because it made the image look progressively worse. I could see buildings and tell it was a building. I could see vehicles and say it was a vehicle, but nothing more. NO details at all. If something moved, you could see the movement if it was close enough. Tried some nights indoors and outdoors. It was absolutely useless. If you try to move with it, you will get hurt. I don't know if mine was defective or if the picture quality is bad at all. Night vision captures any moon or starlight even at 3/4 full moon. I was hoping it would capture some natural light. The built in IR had to be used at all times for ANY night vision ability. I would be fine with it being focused at any distance. I would suspect QC is missing and it varies so you might get a useful one, but I doubt you'll get a good one. I think it could almost be toy quality, but hardly. Mine finally got sent back. Revain's customer service is excellent.
