Let me start by saying that I've been in the home theater business for almost 20 years so I know what I'm talking about. on this wire and I'm very glad I did. What I wanted was 12AWG OFC in dark shielding and that fits the bill perfectly. I also liked the fact that the wires inside are actually red and black (much easier than looking for a stripe). The quality of this wire for the price is amazing. I bought a 100ft and a 50ft to rewire all 5 of my black and white speakers. I used RCA 14 AWG on my Marantz SR6005 and it was fine, but when I added the NAD T955 amp I realized I needed to rewire to a higher gauge and quality and it made a HUGE difference. Be sure to buy this wire! Don't waste your money on overpriced wire. 12 AWG OFC is 12 AWG OFC no matter whose name is on it. Just make sure you know what you're getting beforehand so you don't leave negative feedback that's unfair. Check out customer photos like mine to see exactly what you're getting. For more help. Please note that all of the wire is thick, but that's okay. It looks fantastic hanging from the back of a medium to large sized speaker. The overall diameter of the wire (which is hard to see in the photo) is about 2/3 cents. One guy actually gave it a 2 star rating because this wire is not suitable for use on the wall, although the product description never says it's amazing. If you want/need a cable that is designed to be run in a wall, you will need a CL2 or CL3. Just for your information. Anyway, I'm very happy that CTG makes a great product at a more than fair price. I will definitely buy more of their products.
