Carpet was much lighter than expected. But I have to agree with those who spoke about smoking. Within minutes of opening this rug, couples became overwhelming and overwhelming. I sent it back. So disappointed. It's a polypropylene carpet that's known for giving off gases, but damn, that's just plain dangerous. Of course, if you have a huge, huge room with a very high ceiling and lots and lots of windows and you don't need to go in while the carpet does its job when you first get it, you'll probably be fine in a week . if you stay away from him. I called the company and they said yes you should air it out and the smell should be gone in a week but to be honest I felt like I had just doused myself in gas I could barely a or exhale, and I saw, yes, the carpets that come out of it can definitely make a person very, very sick or develop serious diseases. If you have pets or children or just love yourself, go ahead and don't buy this smelly rug. I'm depressed and disappointed not only because the color turned out to be lighter than expected, but also because I wanted to love this rug but couldn't physiologically love it because of the horrible smell it emits. Like many other people have I read reviews like this and dismissed them thinking how bad it could be? Trust me its bad its true there are thousands of reviews on here so i trusted all the good ones and i was so excited to get these rugs in fact i ordered so many of these i was so excited was. And then I opened it, then I sighed and realized it was all over. Nothing of the sort comes into my space and I have no respiratory sensitivity or anything like that. I don't have a hypersensitive nose, I have a very small apartment so they don't get confused! Yes they are nice rugs and yes they might look a little different than expected, there are a lot of these items here and yes they stink to high heaven and you better have a back yard to use them every day for a good week on a sunny day roll out . Day for a while to get rid of the stems. It's not just a smell, it's chemicals, and chemicals affect the body, I still feel sick. Wow, that's all I can say and big boo-hoo.
