We purchased this heating tape and its insulation and installed it on 9/2011. It still works. Installation was easy and not complicated. This last purchase is a backup. This is a CONTINUE of my original review of January 8, 2013. Failed to install thermal tape 9/2011. I woke up early in the morning on 01/21/2013 and the pipes were frozen. We live in a mobile home that was built for us in 1992 and have lived in it for 20 years. The original thermal tape served us for 15 years, after which it failed. We replaced him with a heating engineer and that let us down for 2 years. At that time we replaced it ourselves with this product, now it has failed. Luckily I bought a second one but I don't really hope it lasts long. Now I'm going to the hardware store to buy a heat gun. SUBSEQUENT OPTION #2 = Absolute rubbish. 2 weeks ago replaced the heating tape with the one mentioned in the last paragraph. It went wrong. Woke up to frozen pipes this morning.
