Get the ACDelco 11A16 instead, Dorman does the job but not a perfect fit

Dorman does the job but isn't a perfect replacement anyway. Use the ACDelco 11A16 Professional Front Power Window Motor for the driver's side instead. . It is the perfect replacement for a simple installation. I've found a few issues with Dorman that I'd like to share so you can avoid extra work and most importantly a product that doesn't fit as it should. The Revain Garage disclaimer stated it would fit my 2001 GMC Yukon XL, which it did, but with the regulator's integrity broken. Please note that the door frames for many GMC and Chevy trucks have been the same for several years of production, so these issues will likely affect you as well. Dorman was just trying to save a few bucks by trimming some details. 6 bolt attachment points, 3 on each rail, with pre-drilled holes in cab door frame for attachment. Dorman only comes with 2 bolts for the top and 2 welded bolts with matching nuts for the bottom, 4 mounting points in total and the 5th is blocked by the door frame when the engine is running (more on this below). The sixth bolt anchor is missing on the non-motorized track (left track as pictured) so you're out of luck. It's very disappointing that the Dorman doesn't bolt on as securely as the original or the Delco AC replacement. Engine. If you are reusing your original engine, you may not need to do this. I replaced the entire governor assembly as supplied, including the new motor. This will require you to drill a hole yourself if you want all the major motors secured and not banging into your door while driving. as a guide. Dorman doesn't have them. * The difference in quality is most noticeable with metal glass clips and rubber grips and this is what disappointed me the most. They should be better built on AC Delco and much larger. Dorman skimped on rubber and a metal clip and looks half the size of the original. * The chains come pre-lubricated but I added some extra lube to make the job easier. Anchor point for the fifth screw, but life is much easier with AC Delco. Hate is a strong word, but I'm definitely in the hostility camp. Given the compromises and extra work, it's not worth buying a cheaper fake. Spend an extra $25 and get the real deal. You will not regret it!
