Make sure the tool is fully seated before attempting to remove the filter housing.
The tool did the job but was difficult to put back in place. The first time I used it it slipped off and I broke my nail. It hurts a lot. But as soon as the bleeding stopped, I tapped the filter housing lightly with a hammer to set it in place and began to carefully remove the filter housing.
